- I don't know anyone who has bought a Z10.

- I did not see any line-ups yesterday at cell phone stores in the PATH

- I don't care about 70,000 apps. I only use a dozen, maybe, and one of my favourites (Kindle) is not available.

I also notice that the Z10/Q10 do not have a BB (menu) button. That's on my top three things I miss going from my Bold to Iphone (the other two being an LED indicator and, of course, a hard keyboard.)
I just bought one.

And while I was in the store at the mall, 2 other guys were buying one. (No word of a lie.)

Now I just have to figure out how to use the damn thing.....

I have a feeling many users are waiting for the Q10. I was talking with a few US clients yesterday who are waiting on the release next month down there. I think many companies are planning to upgrade their staff with them.

What to do, what to do.
I used Berry's for years, up until about 3 months ago. I knew I had to update my phone and I kept waiting and waiting for Blackberry. Then I broke my Bold and I had to make a decision. I considered buying a cheapy Berry until the new one came out, but ultimately got an iPhone. My main concern about doing so was having to type on the screen. I must tell you that withing a day, I realized that it was a complete non issue, and partly because the auto-correct function is so good. We see all of these auto-correct fuck-ups, but the reality is, that it works really well. I also learned very quickly that I could dictate texts and emails while driving useing a headset and this too, works quite well. When there is an error, it's a pain to position the cursor properly, but I'm learning...

Now that I've changed, I doubt I'll change back... and certainly not until my contract it up. There are some things I like better on the BB, and I imagine that the new one is a sweet piece of kit, but so is the iPhone and so is the Galaxy.

As someone said, too little, too late... at least for me.

Do u like it? A friend of mine (industry analyst, not a buyer) said that I would probably like it going from my 9900, but it was sufficiently different that there would be a learning curve.

Is it fairly intuitive?

yeah autocorrect works if you use it for simple conversations and emails... not when when use text for dirty talk with girls etc . the phone remembers what you type and usually auto fills in the words of your most used words.. its not fun when you're writing an email to work and it keeps bringing up dirty words xD

This is similar to my experience - I was using the RIM pager and followed BB until I jumped to iPhone purely because of the apps and growing frustration BB didn't seem interested in moving BB forward. I subsequently moved on to Galaxy so the concept of BlackBerry jumping two strong technologies such that I would switch back seems a long shot. (If they did provide a clear benefit - I would jump). Too little .. too late - I agree.

At best, Blackberry has caught up. As far as I know, it has not produced a game-changer, or a particularly compelling product to regain/gain users.

But hey, at least it won't be an embarrassment to use a BB now (or at least for the next few months).

It needs to come up with a new tablet as well. The PB became an embarrassment as soon as its price dropped. The assumption was that you bought it as a "cheapie" because you couldn't afford an IPad or Galaxy Tab. That move really hurt loyal users who supported RIM by buying the PB at full retail only months before.......

The salesman was a bit confusing, but I think he said that the BB10 kept all the works stuff and personal stuff in 2 different places, and the employer never saw the personal stuff. So if I got it right, I wonder if that is an issue?

The data files may well be partitioned, but i bet that common files are shared (including dictionaries and typing algorithms).

Too soon to say. It is quite different than my now mothballed Bold.

I have always liked the phsical keyboard of the BB, however, I really liked the larger screens that I saw with the iphone and Samsung. I have been struggling with the no keyboard thing.

I spent the last 4 days out of town and have not had much of chance to figure it out. It's a large departure from my bold.

But on an interesting note, I went out for dinner tonight to my regular haunt in chinatown and 2 of the young chinese waiters spied my BB10 and both wanted to check it out. Now that's never happened to me before.
