I have been searching for Oriental Furniture stores in Toronto

I remember seeing a store near front, richmond street area but I was able in the car driving past it so I am not really sure what street I was on becuase I was never the driver.

I am wondering if anyone here knows any names of stores or websites or oriental furniture stores in the toronto area.

I found one store online they are in Massachusetts on their website they say they ship to USA and Europe by FedEx shipping I called thier customer and left a message for them to call me back so they will let me know if they ship to canada as well.

but after seeing their website is local for furniture, and beddings. and etc.

I will make a trip out to china one day but I am wondering if anyone here has gone the oriental home decor and already know some good places.

I was hoping to get a better response since I have seen a lot of post about home decorating. I don't think everyone on here has gone to the furnished apartments those furnished places are soo damn cookie cutter and have no personality.

There are a couple of them on the south side of Queen Street West (just west of Bathurst but I forgot their names). One of them has a pretty big warehouse on Niagara Street (at King). Lots of choice and the prices are reasonable. Most of them are not really antiques according to the oriental standard but their styles are really nice when doing the mix and match with western furniture and decors.

Here, there, everywhere
There a large store in Mississauga on Dundas just west of Dixie. It's closing out so they've cut their prices quite a lot. Can't remember the name though.

Can't miss it, has a huge clearance banner. In the same plaza as the bagel shop.

Try Scarborough...I think Kennedy Rd? Near McCowan or there abouts. There are a lot of warehouse type places.

I remember being dragged to many many many rug stores when I was a kid. My mother thinks buying new furiture/rugs/flooring/lighting and redecorating the house (read: telling my dad to redecorate, she picks out the stuff, tells him to make it happen then takes credit for the outcome) is a hobby. My poor dad Good luck to you :p

Cornerston on Dundas, just west of Keele has some very interesting oriental pieces. I wouldn't say they are and "oriental" furniture store, however, the owner makes trips to China from time to time and buys up a lot of unique antiques.

Probably one of THEE most interesting furniture shops in the city.
