this is a good site but you should do some reading before diving in.
So leolist is a site you are likely to find what you are looking for. There are many like it. I'd say leolist isn't for the faint of heart, there are just as many fake ads / scams as there are real ones. I'd recommend staying with reputable indies or agencies. Look for people that have sites and reviews on here.
So many ads will have edited photos, old photos, etc. I personally don't know Ottawa well myself so I can't point toward any specific providers. I would take time to verify as much as you can that the person is real. Look for things like photos with date/times. Try reverse image searching. Look into if their contact info has been in the area for some time, and if others here on this board have reviewed them all the better. Always be prepared to be disappointed and leave when the door is opened and the person behind it is not the one you have made an appointment with.
It entirely depends on the girl. One thing you'll learn is from provider to provider they have their own way of running things. Some expect you to take a shower as part of your hour. The majority of misleading ads are in fact by agencies and bookers. Scams are often french canadian girls from montreal but any culture and race do as well.
There are a lot of pimps in Ottawa and Montreal. I've been in this for a long time, also lived in Ottawa over 20 years, Montreal 20 years, Toronto 5 years, and most major cities in Canada for a year or so each.

The ad is actually fake photos. its one of the most popular set of fake photos ever used. with just a few recent additions. excellent use of photoshop, definately an agency ad.
I think kaichan provided you a lot of good input. As you suspected Leo List can be a minefield. However there are gems to be found. What I think we need to accept is that the photos posted there are rarely accurate. Several people here are not happy with that and I respect their concerns.
