1. Just as I find a good MPA she quits or goes onto super limited hours...
2. And just as I stashed enough cash to see a SP her rate goes up by 1/3...not that she's not worth it...

Maybe it's time to leave the hobbies and take up something else...

200 for a half is fine, it usually means 300 for a whole hour.
But the 400-500+ for the hour is beyond most average guy's budget.
And the average guy, I'm counting myself in this category here, is in a relationship and doesn't wine and dine for sex anymore, it's just that they've hit a dry spot in their relationship due to their partner's physical/mental health, workload or stress level, etc.
It's tough to hive off half a grand out of the household budget.

I feel you man.
The way I pace myself, whenever I grocery shop I do $20 cash back. I don't hobby until I've saved up enough.

It's so shitty with how sneaky that makes me - but it helps to hide this hobby in the family budget. :S
