Hi there all, I tried to send an email today. I have recently installed AVAST, and when I went to send the email, it Zone Alarm popped up and asked for AVAST to have access, I agreed. Then I got this message:

The server does not support a SSL connection. Account: 'pophm.sympatico.ca', Server: 'smtphm.sympatico.ca', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '250 OK', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 250, Error Number: 0x800CCC7D

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? I can receive messages but I cannot send them. Looking forward to your help. Thanks!

So I thought AVAST was the problem. So I turned it off and the messages were sent. I turned it back on and now I can't log on to outlook express even with AVAST off. I now get this message:

The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'pophm.sympatico.ca', Server: 'pophm.sympatico.ca', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Any suggestions on how to set AVAST would help. Thanks.
