hello, just wanted to know if someone can help.
i can not open any attchements with emails i receive, evev if it's from a reliable source. i get a message that OE has removed access to attachemt. can anyone help

try resetting your security level in options.. if you have upgraded your av then they could be reset to default

I have not had this problem, but Im not on OE6 most of the time, my desktop is OE5, my laptop is 6 , but freind has this situation and told me if you make out like you're going to reply or forward the message, you can open the attatchment to read it, then just dont hit send
PS, dont blame me if it doesnt work! LOL

Kumamake,

I think this should do it

1) Open OE
2) Click on the Tools menu on top
3) Click Options (last item)
4) Click on Security tab
5) Under Virus Protection, uncheck:
Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus

For viurs security reasons, you should go back and re-check this option again after you viewed / saved the attachment.
