Is there a lawyer/paralegal in the house?

I'm always a little leary taking advice from a "Tim Horton's" Lawyer. Is there someone in the profession that can confirm all this advice about ticket errors? A link to a legal website would be helpful otherwise.

Got a parking ticket last night, but the last 2 digits of the plate number on the ticket don't match my plate. I don't mind paying the $30 fine, but is there a way to fight this ticket on the basis of the erroneous plate number?

...are the digits reversed?...do we have a dyslexic parking meter attendent?...does everything else match up?...

Don't pay!

These guys make enough as it is. Recently I paid a ticket through the bank a week before the due date. They sent me another late payment penalty of some 40 odd dollars, because they claim the bank did not get the money to them before the due date. And there is nothing I can do. Why do they even offer to have it paid through the bank if they act like this. Farkin aholes.
