Parking: when doing the “pull through” make sure no one is about to park in that spot….

No. Not at all. It wasn't until much later in the relationship his true colours came out. He became completely abusive.

I thought he was a good man, hard working, family man, good father.

I'm not one of those attracted to bad boy types. Sorry. You have the wrong girl.
So you turned him into that?

People who are oblivious are still oblivious regardless of whether you are backing out or pulling straight out. Sorry but that point just doesn't fly. LOL.

You prefer to pull out and that is fine for you but the idea that it is safest is no longer an issue with back up cameras. Sorry but it is just not.
Who is the oblivious one???? He was talking about people on their phones. Try to keep up ....
Re-quoted you because obviously you forgot...I don't see anything about phones.

Cameras or not, backing in is the safest way. I've done this for decades, when I drove a car, suv and now a truck. I also park away from everyone else, as people don't know how to park. Pulling out of my spot is easier, with no issues with dolts in parking lots staring at their phones, oblivious to everything around them, hazards included.
Seriouslly, are you this dumb???? Dirk's post. The person I was responding to (with a quote so you should have known who and what I was responding to) who brought up oblivious people on their phones. Again, try to follow along..... if that is not too difficult for you. 🙄😂

Since your are on your period and PMSing today, just trying to start fights with me - I will be ignoring you for the rest of the day. Maybe the week. Who knows. You’re not exactly that important that I really care how long I ignore for you. Try some ice cream and midol. You may feel better

She literally quoted the guy and replied. Then requoted with further indication and you guys struggle to comprehend basic sentences. I've seen both men and women on their phones distracted while driving. And people in a rush even with rear cams at times don't look at them. Perhaps the sensors kicking in making a noise gets them to suddenly stop, but they should still be checking blind spots when reversing out cause a vehicle could be coming their way especially if the person pulling out goes faster than they should. And even with someone walking near their vehicle a sensor can make the sound, but they are most likely to still hit the person unless they didn't back out as fast, checked blind spots along with looking at the rear cam. Those who are oblivious and in a rush still cause accidents with cameras especially if they're giving too much gas when backing out.

I tend to reverse park and I don't use any cams, but I'll generally pull in if I'm loading my vehicle with stuff. No real point in backing up to fill your trunk if someone on the other side parks way too close to you while you're shopping.
Thanks for the instructions on how to park...it's such an important issue.

I've seen people focused on their back up camera, oblivious to other hazards around them. Thinking your back up camera now makes you a good and safe driver is an issue. Just look around a parking lot, people can't even park properly, are more focused on their phone or tunnel vision on a back up camera, instead of looking around for the hazards that are present in every parking lot. You can go on a feel full confidence that you have a back up camera and that makes it safe to back up.

I was always taught to back into parking lots, somebody already pointed out it’s easier to drive forward you can pay a lot more attention but there is another point. When you back into a parking lot you do your shopping appointment what ever you get back to the car guess what dead battery since you back then you have to find somebody willing to give you a boost and one set solved you pray that they have jumper cables or you have jumper cables. Everyone I know buy the cheapest set and the shortest usually around 6 to 8 feet long if you drive in those first, you better make sure somebody has a real long set of battery cables. I’m one of those idiots that have a 24 foot cable just in case.

As a professional driver, I recognize 3 types of accidents

1 At fault

2 not at fault

3 not at fault but preventable

I view myself as having caused both number 1 and 3

It is called defensive driving

Recall the accident a few years ago when a semi T-Boned a bus load of teen age hockey players killing most of them

It was, of course, the truck drivers fault but also the bus drivers fault
for not seeing the possibility of a T-Bone

All T-Bones are preventable unless the other guy speeds up when you saw him slow down
so you considered it safe to go but that is very rare

this is yours
