It'll open the Word doc, and export directly to PDF. For Free.

Just did a dual boot with XP and Linux and the Fedora distribution I chose came with a PDF writer along with plenty of other apps.

If you use Gmail... upload your Word documents into Google Documents and Spreadsheets.... then you can save them to your computer as PDF's
