What I thought it was funny was that the guy who thought talking to pets was odd was spending his time kicking a ball around a park.^^ I'm just playing... I thought it was funny. :0) Trust me, I know all about animals (well, primates anyway) and language as that was part of my focus in university.
This concerns me more than anyone that talks to their dog. I mean how old are you? Who does this as an adult? And please tell me you at least had a 'friend" with you or a little childThe other day I was in a park kicking a ball.
I used to always talk to my weasel (I'm a FEMALE so I'm NOT refering to a part of my anatomy!). Some may agree - some may not but I KNOW he understood some of what I told him, especially when I told him I loved him. He was my little man. I miss him too....I used to talk to my dog like that, I knew she couldn't understand but I liked the idea she could. She would cock her head trying to figure out what I was saying. It was more for my benefit than the dog's, having someone to talk to - I still miss her.
It would look a bit crazy to a passerby, I agree.
