Personally I don't care if he wants to smoke a joint or not, just as I don't care if Spitzer sees SPs. So long as Phelps was clean going into competitions, who cares if he wants to have a drink, smoke a joint, see an SP, or walk naked through Central Park or whatever. The guy can swim like nobody else in the world. The pot doesn't enhance his swimming performance.

The American mentality and hypocritical attitude will never understand this.

Did you ever see that documentary on the efforts to get medical marijuana legalized (federally)?

It was pretty interesting that many US states have legalized it for medical use but Federally the DEA can still swoop in and arrest someone using, buying, selling, or prescribing.

There was this segment on a woman who appeared to be late 30's early 40's who had severe pain in her leg due to .....(some disease). She went into a head shop and needed to buy a pipe it was SO funny. Then they filmed her as she packed it and fired it up for the first time. It was SO funny but whoop, should have seen the look in her face when the problems with her leg vanished after a couple of hits....She was like "oh my god, that's the first time I've had relief in 5 yrs" (and then put it down after a second).

USA Swimming as SUSPENDED Michael Phelps the Golden Boy of the Olympics for three months as a result of the BONG incident. USA Swimming wants to send a message and make it clear they do not condone drug use in any form.
