Hello I will be going here in 2 to 3 weeks. I was just wondering if there is any advise anyone can give me. I will be going by myself and want to know if anyone has traveled by themselves there and how it went. Also what amount I should take myself to be venturing. Looking at going for about a week.

Really depends on your choice of accommodation. Food is cheap and good. I would say between $100 and $150 per day all in. You can go cheaper or more expensive. Look for hotels/motels that allow guests, as not all do. And don't go to the beach at night.
Yeah been reading a lot that certain hotels don't allow girls or charge you money to bring them one. Which sucks because I was getting a deal at 5 star hotel. Now the states thing that I never heard before but would not want that happening to me. Anyone got input on that?
My buddy just got back from Thailand. If his adventures are anything to go by you will have an amazing time.
First of all hit the bars of Phuket close to the beach. You will get "lucky" easily there.
Secondly If you do not have the gift of the gab with the local girls put aside $100 - $150 a night for venturing.

Go to Pattaya instead. I lived there for a year, way cheaper than Phuket, no problems, with hotels and girls that I am aware of. phuket is beautiful,been there once 6 years ago and going back next month with the thai wife,if u dont mind eating thai spicy food or noodle soup froms treet vendors,food and drink there is cheap and so is pussy( for all your pussy needs i prefer pattaya),dont be a western sucker like we are here and pay the stupid prices,for the price of a B&S asian joint here,you get a hot Thai women for multiple hours and for $100 all night(2 or more shots at night and 1 more time in the morning)

I just ran into a guy who lives in Bangkok for 15 years and told me to avoid Pattaya, he said Bangkok had the hottest girls and that Pattaya had mostly girls who couldn't make it in Bangkok.Go to Pattaya instead. This is complete bullshit, depends on where the girl wants to live. Bangkok is a huge city with a relatively small pooning area, Pataya has a large pooning area with a vacation atmosphere. I have been to Phuket quite a few times. My budget is generally 6000 baht a day when I go. I take extra for the one or two nights that I decide to go all out. 6000 baht is approx. 200 CAD and that can be a little light if you are a big drinker. You will enjoy yourself, trust me. If you have a chance try and get to Phi Phi Island or Krabi, they are beautiful and not too far.
