an attempt to clarify from my viewpoint

He is not being accused of anything further than discussing minors in an inappropriate manner. He would not be banned if not for that fact. For obvious moral reasons [given the standards of society] and possible legal implications/association TERB does not tolerate such discussion and does not need to justify their policy.

An intelligent debate or valid commentary on the subject is a different story.

The morality of basket weaving Granny escorts is another issue.

Is this a lounge forum ? This issue has become McCarthyism. I don't want to do reviews since the result is obvious that person got banned. If sp or agency can't handle review then quit. Sp make living on donation on guys who are interested in them. If they behave like *23$% then, we vote by wallet. If that doesn't help, remember, there is LE outthere always looking for a big fish to fry.

I have been lurking for a while, I notice this is SP chat. What the heck do they talk about? I don't see them discussing raising babies or parenting, politics, Science? No, This is for guys to come to talk about sp business. It is hypocritical to say that chat doesn't allow to talk about sex. If sex is not allow then, post this is for PTA issues, politics or home garden, cooking issues.

well I am sorry you disagree with my opinion and find it insulting, but at least you can express that without being totally rude. I never voted in the poll, BTW. I am glad he is banned and you will mostly be disappointed that I am not, but that is life! Besides, I am was not the only pissed off, publicly or privately about some of his posts. Not like that matters since it wasn't his posts that got him banned from the looks of things.

Why is it that when a lady describes a feeling of a negative nature towards a male member of this board, it all of a sudden becomes the same ol' sad sob story about how this is a "board about guys looking for SP's" I am sorry but this board has become much more then that. We have a sports lounge and politics forum, movie forums. Seriously get a grip on what reality actually is around here for your own sake of happiness. At least then you won't be so disappointed all the time. Especially when someone like myself expresses an mere opinion.

Ok, so let's recap here, Picard was Asian, he had hair and a thing for kids. In my books the hair thing and the kid thing are more than enough reasons for him to go. The kid thing is immoral, illegal and outright disgusting. So is a guy with hair naming himself after a fabled Starfleet Captain.

Perhaps there should be a 'Forum of the Damned' where the bannings are announced and the reasons given. This thread went on and on and not until the 16th post did we learn the why. There's gotta be a better way.

Anyways, who gives a rat's behind why he was banned? For all those interested this is a webpage operated by an individual NOT by paid members. Do we pay a service fee for coming here? NO
Is this a democratic website? NO Fred has the power and the right as owner of this site to ban whoever he wants to for whatever reason he sees fit.

It is our choice as users of the site to either a) go along with his decision(s) or b) go somewhere else.

Ok Hooker, the truth is I don't think you should be banned was being somewhat sarcastic thought that was clear. I don't believe there are many grounds for banning anyway.... free speech remember?? (just don't violate the hate laws and yeah if you talk about kids you should be banned.) If you found me rude then I am sorry but I guess to me, your comments were sort of rude too (albeit not to me). I have seen this stuff before re accusations etc... in terms of trying to justify a bad decision. If that guy really said those stuff it would be so easy to prove. My opinion is that it took too many posts. I mean come on, a chat was forwarded to the mods?? If it was and he was just shooting the shit then he would have been warned. People say all kinds of stupid things that they don't mean. Have a look at his reviews (I did today) they are super critical and kind of strange but they do not even come close to breaking the law. She is right, this board has evolved into more then a review site, and their are some women on here, I won't mention any names of course because I would like this post to stay visable, that make it this way.

I get more bitchy PM's from the older, uglier, SP's on this board complaining about my posts then I get compared to regular PM's.

Dont get me wrong, there are MANY absolutly GREAT women on here regardless of age that everyone looks forward to their contributions. But I would say that a handfull of women cause more problems behind the scene's then the majority of the hobbiests on here.

The owner of any board may ban anybody for any reason he/she likes. If you don't like it, start and pay for your own damn board.

I don't mean to sound like I'm sucking anybody's dick, least of all Fred's or Sheik's - no doubt they're glad - but I just find that trying elevate these matters to a "freedom of speech" issue is re-dicking-fuckulous.

This is a private board. On the intarweb. You post here for free. You don't like it, post somewhere else. There are plenty - PLENTY - of other places. Or you can just start your own board. Either way, accept your banning, grow the fuck up, and move on.

And yes, I'll still feel the same way if and when I find myself on the wrong side of a banning - as I have, in fact, on other boards.

Well said, but is it also ok then to post a "pretend reason for banning"...maybe it is to some degree but to make up something so disgusting and dispicable about some child porn thing. I agree that Fred? and Sheik can ban whoever they want... it is their board. So you have successfully managed to change my mind. This is not about free speech. But what about defamation of character?

I even agree that they don't HAVE to say why they banned this guy. Indeed I agree too. Although it is clear that the users of this board may be curious to know why. The problem is when you make very serious and unsubstantiated claims which can ruin someone's life... (I know you are all going to say he really did say that stuff so he deserved to be banned). My spider sense is still tingling.
