plumber-review needed

i've got a very slow draining tub in the basement
pipes are not accessible, under slab floor

i tried snake, baking soda/vinegar

who has a good review on a plumber in toronto, east toronto
like has anyone used roto-rooter or any recommendations

Was it always slow draining?

If so, it may be lacking in its design.

I have used rotorooter before and they did a fine job at a reasonable price.

Baking soda/vinegar not going to do a thing... it'll be clogged with hair and soap scum... you need a real liquid drain cleaner like liquid Drano or liquid Plumber to melt through it. Since it is draining... just slowly, these liquid drain cleaners will work well; they will get down to the clog and eat away at it. I've cleared tub drains before and I swear by liquid Plumber.

Go to a Home Hardware and ask them for the industrial strength drain cleaner, its liquid and the bottle is wrapped ina heavy sealed plastic bag, or I beleive Home Depot sells it under "Master Plumber" brand as well
it works great for busting grease/soap/ hair balls

get some of the stuff for septic systems. Flush with boiling water, let cool, then put some of the septic bacteria down the system.

if it has not improved in 4 - 6 weeks, get the rooter guys

The Septic stuff is for people that are not on a Municipal Sewer system but using there own Septic Tank. Septic activator is a bacteria use to help the tanks contents go through a natural biological breakdown under the right conditions. It's NOT used for clearing a hair and soap scum clogged pipe.

Also, don't let it come in contact with chrome finish or stainless steel surfaces, it will ruin their shine.

Review Plumber

Making the appointment was easy. Plumber arrived late, but I guess this is normal in their line of work. Dressed very casually. He tried to seduce me with copius amounts of butt crack. Then he immediately moved into dirty talk. Lot's of expressions like sweating big pipes together, rooting with long snakes, getting your pilot lit to get everything hot, and sucking things out. It didn't do much for me, but some guys may go for that. Anybody that's into squirting might like this service as well. Definately a clock watcher, and billed me by the hour. Overall, not a lot of personal satisfaction for the money. YMMV. Repeat: Only if neccesary.

bought zep commercial drain care - recommended by the home depot guy
this didn't work

went back to home depot
bought zep commercial professional strength drain opener
voila, i have free flowing water in the tub

so to celebrate i took a shower then went to see a wicked lady and got laid
