So, it is legal to stop good citizens on public sidewalks and ask them for money? Interesting. BTW Are you aware that at least 40% of all monies collected go to pay for "administrative" expenses and the former head honco's $3million buyout?
Yes. That is legal. Good citizens, bad citizens, even landed immigrants and tourists. You can ask them for money. On public sidewalks, even! Apparently there are many things that are legal even though you don't like them.

I can't believe you would complain about fundraising for a hospital for SICK CHILDREN. You really are jaded. Time to put you on ignore.

I think any hotel is a risk you take to host incalls, or visit a SP from an agency or being indie.

I have heard from some agencies they love using the delta I have used the delta twice since I started hosting my own incalls.

If you keep quiet and blend in I can't see they will really plan on a sting, but you never know what they are looking for when they set one up.

So no matter what be careful.

This will really piss you off but there are many motorists who are pissed off at all these runners who close the streets to traffic every weekend because they are running for some cause or other. There is such as a thing as donation fatigue. There is a time and place for fundraising.

I actually heard a hotel manager say that escorts make good guests because they are quiet, discreet, don't steal towels and don't thrash the room. The worst guests are rock bands.

Why would that piss me off? You keep arguing different things - how irritating.

Marathons are a major disruption; canvassers on the sidewalk are not. Those events were sponsored by Scotiabank and Goodlife Fitness, not the Hospital for Sick Children.

I still think you must be a very jaded and frustrated man to be so worked up about fundraising efforts like Sick Kids. You can walk right by canvassers; you need not let them ruin your day.

Or do you just let everything piss you off so you have something to talk about on Terb?

Erm, outcall to a hotel is perfectly legal so long as it's the clients room, no? In regular incall in a SP unfriendly hotel would be unwise, but all a hotel can do to keep SPs away is try to screen them at the door and keep them from hanging out in the bar / lobby... (And as long a a girl can provide a name, client name, and room number there isn't much they can even do there.)

Spoke to Mayor Miller's office. They are looking at the Sick Kids sidewalk canvassers because they are on virtually every downtown block 24/365. The larger concern is that everybody with a worthy cause will be out on the sidewalks soliciting passers by for money and the City may not want to turn our sidewalks into a large collection plate lined with canvassers from corner to corner (or do we?).

City Council is already looking at these "runs for causes" that seem to occur every weekend disrupting vehicular traffic:(. The sheer number of these "runs" have gotten out of hand. No, nobody is disputing that they are for worthy causes.

Outcalls are completely legal in Canada for both the client and the SP. If an agency is involved, the only party breaking the law is the agency.

It is also completely legal in Canada for an SP to rent a hotel room for one day and offer incalls. The courts have repeatedly ruled (Paterson v. R. (1968), R. v. Evans, Lee and Woodhouse (1973), R. v. Tardiff (1995)), that a place cannot be determined to be a "common bawdy house" based on evidence covering only one day. Unfortunately, the courts have never ruled just how long an SP can operate out of the same place for it be considered a "common bawdy house".
