Price Gauging

I was in Niagara Falls for a few days last weekend and had a great time. However I was shocked at the price of food. A burger combo at BK in Toronto is $3.99 while in Niagara Falls in was $6.49. A steak and cheese sub usually sets you back about $7.00 here while I paid $12.00 there..... the list goes on. I know I'm strictly commenting on the Tourist area but still, seems a bit steep.

WhOiSyOdAdDy?

it is not gouging.. simply charging what the market will bare.

If Americans are used to paying $7(US) for a burger combo, why would restaurants (fast food) charge less?.. it just means that it is more expensive for Canadians in that area.

No drink.

Sometimes it is even worse taylortime. I ask for the combo, not only is it more expensive, but it doesn't even include the softdrink. The combo is just burger and fries. The watered down coke is extra.

Outrageous, just like some SP's charging $240 for an hour instead of $200.

or the 150 to 180 rate in Niagara

So you see it all balances out.

You're grounded for three days.
If you don't care for the tarriff
then just don't go there. Stiffle dudes.
Ignore, Taylor. They're a bit dense.
If they can't distinguish between a piece
of grilled meat and a woman, then too bad for them.

Respectfully, Don.
Na don

in this case I agree it is what the market will bare. These wonderful ladies of the GTA are lucky enough to be in a market that affords a higher level of income.

The Ladies of Niagara deserve a much higher level of income.

I assure you that no offence was intended.

Asfor the costs of burgers I expect the a value meal at the Metro Zoo is over priced too.

You know, Taylor, that in the off-season the prices in Niagara are normal?

You may even find a BK in a non-touristy part of Niagara will charge less.

For an even more shocking bill, try going to the Denny's near the Skylon tower. Four grand slam breakfasts with coffee and OJ cost us $75.00 CDN!!!!

You just have to hope you do well at the casino, my dear...

One good thing is Wendy's and tim Hortons. They have rock solid franchise agreements with price protection for the consumers

Thats why a timmies at the ACC costs the same as any other place.
