Pricing Curious

I have a
question to ask. Please, this is not meant to aggravate.

How do the ladies decide what their hourly rates should be. With the wide range of rates out there, how do some come up with 180 and others at 300. Some of the 180 ladies give outstanding service where some of the 250 ladies do not. I do not think that the monetary value associated with the service is a true indication of what we can expect.
I have had much more success with the higher priced ladies, but I have also had very, very good ladies at the lower end as well.

Then of course there are the double tiered pricing ladies that seem to be more on the rise these days. For an extra fee you get a real GFE instead of a safe GFE.

The final part of this question deals with the amount of ladies that keep coming onto the scene and forcing "specials". Does this end up compromising service?

Please try to remember that this is not meant to create aggravation but I am trying to understand the differences. Please, no comparisons to shopping for a Rolls or a Chevy etc as that is not what I am asking. I am asking simply as to how they arrive at a price.

I'm guessing most women aren't sure when they start out as well.

They'll look around and see what the going rate seems to be, they might start out undercutting the competition to get the ball rolling. Later on, they might up the price to keep the riff raff out, to work less frequently or just as a sign of status in the industry.

They might charge more for bbbj or a lot more for greek just to discourage people from asking for it.

Whatever they want to charge is okay with me, the market is large enough to make choices.

Most of the gals would not want to get into the discussion, but I have had looong chats, not because I care that much for my own time, but I am always interested in marketing & business issues.

1)They charge what the market will bare.
2) They charge an amount that keeps them as busy as they choose to be.
3) Prices may drop, or specials pop up due to seasonal factors. December is a busy month, January is slow.
4) They charge for what they need NOW. Everyone has specific $ pressures sometimes and if they arent getting enough hours- prices may drop.

Having said all that you can find gems, who are new to the biz who dont know how good they are, and/or just dont have the interest or marketing skills to ask for more.
You are not going to see anyone who charges "too much" (for very long).

(Everything just like ANY biz)

I stick with my advice to gals- NEVER negotiate with a $ whiner. Ok to ask if its for a service or time thats not posted. Same for the guys- YMMV , always. You will never get the best if you are haggler.

Once I turned down a TOP gal who wanted a lot for 12 hours (not posted). I know she had clients in that $ range, and she was worth it. I had seen her b4 (short visits), so I very politely said "no thanks". Much to my embarrassment, she came back with her personal problems and "How much". No way, I want to get into it with her. Saw her later and we got along fine for a shorter visit.

There will never be a hard or fast rule as it depends on so many factors (age, looks, location (Montreal is cheaper), menu, service, reviews, new to biz or seasoned pro, ect.).
