Ok, I've noted an issue with pricing and wanted to open it up for discussion. I don't mean to sound cheap or anything, i just want to point it out.

Ok, let's say an hour is $150. That would make it $5.00 per minute. Now, an hour is usually less, let's say $250, or $4.17 per minute.

What I've noticed is that going up a time interval to let's say 90 min does not necessarily give a lower price. What I normally see is basically 30 min + 60 min or in this case $400 or $4.44 per minute.

Now obviously a provider or agency would benefit from a longer appointment - think bulk sale. Realistically in 90 mins you may have 2 30 min apps for a total of $300.

So my question is why aren't we seeing a reduced price for longer times? (please no massive flame wars. Just opening up a point or discussion).

Some folks offer that, some don't.

It all depends on their view of how their work goes.

I hired a guy to paint part of my house not long ago. His hourly rate did not go down for longer jobs.

Is that why you get 50% off?
Not quite. It is 50% off if he promises to never come back. Although it is not clear that he actually visits escorts.

on a bigger scheme of things, my question is why are we paying for sex? Why do men have to pay for sex while most women can get it for free? No animals pay for sex.. just us humans lol

Think of the price as a fixed cost regardless of duration to cover booking, plus a time cost for your time with the girl.

So, e.g., $50 plus $100/30 for the girl.

When you realize there is a fixed cost the pricing makes more sense. The fixed cost maybe pays for her prep time and the time spent making the appointment, or maybe a fee paid to a phone agent, all of which are the same cost regardless of session length.

If your boss asked you to work overtime, would you accept a lower hourly rate after your daily norm of 7.5 hours?

I take the view that if I am interested..................the fee is what it is. I have concluded that it is acceptable as soon as I start the process of making the arrangements. If the fee is north of what I perceive to be a value point for the lady in question, then the contact process does not start. The fee simply is what the lady says it is for the perscribed period. That said, I do get a chuckle when it is $100 for hh and $220 for the hour. I have this vision of dashing out into the corridor in my undies after 29 minutes and knocking on the door to come back in so I can save $20. Where oh where do these thoughts come from?

Because those setting the prices for their services see no advantage in it, and those paying haven't negociated for it. When you succeed, be sure to post here and get the trend going.

We haven't had a good pricing thread in, what... 2 days.
So the question boils down to, why is the first marginal 30min cost $100 (from 30 - 60 mins) but the next 30min marginal cost $150 (from 60 - 90min)?
I think the most reasonable explanation was from an SP in a previous thread: because it's hard work entertaining the client for an extra 30mins. Whether an extra SOG or worse, pillow talk (!) they want to get paid for the hard work, take it or leave it (I think it was Dawn Lee :) )
If we're thinking with our big head we should leave it, but in the heat of the moment, we're thinking with the little head so $150 for 30min sounds about right. :)

It's the law of nature for humans. Men want to spread their seed in as many females as possible, whether that seed takes or not.
