Fox execs are morons! They just annouced they are puting the show on hiatus until May.

I recorded the first two episodes on my PVR but I had so much other regular shows I watch that I decided to erase them. Now that I've heard so many good things about the show, I have been downloading all the early episodes to catch up to the few episodes I just recorded. Watched the pilot last night. Good show.

I'm a little pissed at their approach but I would think that the actual prison break is only the start of more falling dominos and that there probably are 22 episodes to this season. Otherwise they really limit their options for a second season...either the break happens or Linc is dead.
I guess if the break is unsuccessfuly they could bring it back for Michael's repeated attempts, but the motivation just wont be there. Afterall, the parents are already dead and his failure would have resulted in his brother's death. At that point the only reason he'd have for breaking out is to kill himself.

No, the first season of Prison Break is 22 episodes's just like every other show. Fox is now calling the Nov. 28 epi the "Season Finale" and will show the remaining nine episodes in May as a faux mini second season. Just to make room for the 129 hours a week of American Idol they plan to show starting in January.benn said:
