The central air conditioner unit is getting power, but the compressor and the fan are not working.
Any ideas what the problem might be.
Any recommendations who to contact to fix the problem.

Many thanks in advance.

Unless you know what you're doing, don't mess around with the electrical in an AC unit....208v can easily kill you.
If you do know what you're doing, and you're sure that both line voltage & control voltage are where they should be, check the contactor or capacitor.
Best idea - open up your Yellow pages under A/C contractors and call one.
Next best idea after that, if the unit is more than 15 years old, tell the guy you want a new unit installed.

If there isn't sufficient refrigerant in the system, there's a pressure switch that disables the compressor to avoid damage. Get someone in to check the system pressure and check for leaks.

refrigerant is also flamable . Shit happens. Just call a service guy. Atlas Air heating/air conditioning has been around since early 1970's They service most of G.T.A. Guessing they must be doing something right.

Yes, your compressor and fan are not working.

OK, OK, another little one liner. I have no idea.
All I know is my C/A works very well. On the hottest days, turn on the AC and the house becomes a freezer in about 15 minutes.

If the compressor and outside fan are not working, and the furnace fan is working, then I would check that for power to the compressor. Specifically, the outside compressor is on a separate circuit from your main furnace, and on new installations, both an outside disconnect and an inside disconnect should be present. It is recommended that you turn these breakers off for the winter, and on again in the spring/summer.

As such, make sure all the breakers / switches are on, and the fuses (if any) are okay.
