You seem as befuddled as a Limbaugh lemming!
EVERYONE knows the best 'Blowhards & Fools' populate the 'right' side of the political spectrum.....El Rushblowhard Limbaugh, Faux news, Dubya, Cheney, Jesse Helms, Paul Wolfowitz, William Kristol, et al., ad nauseum.......

Mac, a gentelman and a scholar, in no way shares the shortcomings of those listed above......;)
I may be an ifiat (whatever that is), but I know a gentlemen when I see one. Macluhan is no gentlemen.

I'm not surprised you rushed to his defence. You and he share a lot of the same shortcomings.

It must be a treat to live in your deluded world. A world where opinions and ideas are cast into 2 simple categories, pro or anti Bush. Because I have a difference of opinion than you on any topic, I must be pro Bush.

The more I read your posts, the more disturbed I become that you were actually a school teacher at some point. Someone so delusional should not be allowed to have an impact on young minds.

Woody, for the 20th time, I DO NOT support Bush. If you can produce any evidence that demonstrates otherwise, I will gladlly concede that you are brilliant and Macluhan is a gentlemen.

I think for woody, the "you support bush" insult is just an updated version of the good ol' schoolyard comeback of last resort. "My dad can beat up your dad!" (while at the same time he complains about the "with us or against us" mentality)

The thing you need to realize about Woody and his blank eyed pals is they feel they are enlightened. People who disagree with them are the great unwashed and uneducated. He reminds me of a history teacher I had who used to tell us the history books are wrong and he would tell us the real history.

Your teacher may have been right.
The books may not have been wrong,
but half truths are just as misleading.

5 historians = 5 versions.
Ah but Don would that make his version more correct?

Its been around for a while.
It has a very long history.

Now then, back to the faulty history books.
Self-determination allows for mistakes and
errors. You have the right to be narrow
minded. Its your constitutional right.
Or open minded and seek to understand the ideals from which the words came.

True. History is reading the original documents
and then trying to determine original intent of the
actors as well as the events through the observations
of impartial observers.
neither of which excuses Woody for being a bully and condescending

Havn't you heard Woody's assessment of the military escalation in Vietnam? According to Woody, it's all Eisenhower's fault. He even skips the 3 years of the Kennedy administration!

I agree that 5 different historians can present 5 different versions, but Woody's version of Vietnam history is unique in exluding events that occurred between 1961 - 1963.

Calling yourself a student of history does not make you one.

Sure it does. He may not be advancing through
the grade levels on schedule. Ever meet a bad
student.

If he said that about DDE I suggest he needs to
spend more time in the library and less time on
TERB.
and less time reading Michael Moore propaganda.

That's right he did, with a few hundred military advisors to assist the Diem government's fight against the communists.

Shucking the blame on LBJ who brought in conscription, carpet bombed North Vietnam and escalated troop levels to over 500,000 is irresponsible and foolish.
