I typically make a point to use names. And I don't care if someone calls themselves Bruce or Caitlyn.
But in conversations with other people, continually using names gets a bit awkward so knowing the pronoun they prefer is easier.

The OP says his company wants him to have his pronouns on his card. That is because they think it is better for their business.
469 complained that the company must be distracted. Sorry but most companies are motivated mainly by the bottom line. In many fields right now, the decision has been made that accepting diversity is good for business.
So yes, it's stupid for allegedly conservative people to condemn companies for making choices that they feel are better for them.
While I try to be openminded and I value every employee equally, I must admit to a certain stubbornness on my part in promoting individuality in the work place. I just believe in a level playing field not matter your background.
