Normally I don't talk about this stuff, but if I can't post here then where?
So I admit that I am curious to partially believing in psychics / ability to "see beyond". Though I have a strong scientific background, I also believe that there are things that cannot (yet?) be explained by pure science.
I learned of the Psychic Fair being held at the Exhibition (Queen Elizabeth Building) this weekend. Details are here:

It's a small event - perhaps 60 - 70 booths and not all of them are psychics. Nonetheless I went in trying to maintain as open a mind as possible. After cruising the floor a few times, I felt inexplicably drawn to one particular booth. So I decided to go for it.
The psychic was originally from UK but now lives in Toronto. (UK accent is still there.) We sat down and I was asked for my name & something personal - keys, pen, watch etc. I gave up my watch which went into the psychic's hand and sat back. After a few seconds, the psychic began to talk.
I admit that I had some skeptisicm even at that point, but most of what was being said was in fact accurate. Keep in mind that at this point all I've given is my name and my watch. But the psychic started by saying "You live downtown but you're thinking of moving. I see your neighbourhood and it's currently close to ______." Correct! The discussion continued with a fairly accurate description of the industry in which I work and my current job. There was even an accurate discussion of my current company. I was told "You work here, but there's something about the west coast. The US west coast in fact. Somewhere south on the coast." My company's head office is near San Francisco. The psychic mentioned that I like travelling and seem to be going somewhere soon. (I'm off on a biz trip Sunday.)
There were many other things discussed as well. The entire session was tape recorded so I can review what was said later on. After the session was over I forked over $60 and went on my way.
Do I believe everything that was said? Not necessarily. Some of it was generic enough it could have been applicable to almost anything / anyone. But on the whole I'd have to say that much of the content was specific to me and quite accurate.
Overall an interesting experience. I think I will repeat some time.
