Pulled up to hotel, 10 cruisers outside.

It's hard to shake the paranoia now of going to an in call. Has anyone else felt this way before?
You're overreacting. When you saw the cops you went home, which was a sensible thing to do. If it happens again, just leave again. No need to become more paranoid about it.

I've had a few cop incidents over the years. One time there were like 5-6 cop cars at the hotel. It was the infamously sketchy Mississauga Gate Inn and it was 2am, so I knew something bad was going down. I texted the SP to tell her I was leaving and she understood.

Another time it was a similar situation, several cop cars outside one of the airport hotels. Again I texted the SP to tell her I was leaving, but she said she was in the lobby and the cops were about to leave, and it was ok to come in. I was hesitant but I went in anyway, walked past the cops and they didn't bat an eye. Ever since then I don't worry about cops anymore.

As others have said above, if the cops are already on site when you arrive, they're there for something else, not you. Also if the cops ask you questions you're under no obligation to answer them. You have every right to politely decline. Know the laws, know your rights, and assert your rights if necessary. The cops count on people giving up info they didn't need to because they're too ignorant or nervous.

I took a video but it's hard to identify even when I zoom in, it's just flashing police lights.

Here's a photo for reference.

I used to be able to listen to the Police radios with my trucking scanner before they went to digital encryption.
It was a hell of a lot of fun and I would probable have able to listen to what was happening here !

Massage parlors can get busted just as easily
Actually I think the parlors get busted way more often than incall locations. Very rare for incall to get busted. Usually happens when there are underage girls but that wouldn't happen with most legit agencies advertising here

Not only do massage parlors occasionally get busted by LE, they are also frequently targeted by armed robbers.

This is not talked about a lot, but I've heard it happens quite a bit

Cops in Toronto rarely have any interest in minor, non-violent crime with adult participants.

There used to be a guy who lived in the building next door to me, (one wall common to both buildings, and a shared backyard). He was dealing crystal meth and fentanyl. His 'friends' would stop by at any hour of the day or night, often camping in the backyard, as if it was a public park.

The resident porch person dropped a dime on him several times, because she lives on the same floor that he did, but in the other building. The cops told her, over and over: "We're not interested in the small fish".

Complaining to the landlord instead got him evicted, eventually. In between, the landlord initially hired some security company to park a car behind the house. If I went out late at night/ early morning, half the time the guy in the car was asleep.

Next the landlord had a tall wooden fence built between the yard and the adjacent lane, with a door which requires a building key to open. Somebody would break the lock at least once a week, or do something to keep the door from locking.

The dealer would still be here if he had just told his customers to come to the front door, instead of coming in through the back yard from the lane. What got him kicked out wasn't the drug dealing. It was his unescorted guests hanging out in a 'common area'. What he did within the confines of his own apartment unit wasn't of any concern to anyone.

It's like I keep saying about going to incalls at hotels, just walk in like you're supposed to be there.
Incalls: "I'm just visiting a friend."

Outcalls: "My friend was just visiting."

Massage parlor: 'I had a kink in my neck."

Strip club: "I was in the area."

Doesn't matter if it was the police, security, a concierge, or an acquaintance. The simplest cover that doesn't incriminate you is almost always going to be the best one.

There have been a few times when a lady has told me to just tell the concierge, "I'm here to see Jane in suite 1234" if they ask. It's never happened. Most of the time, if you're being buzzed in, they'll assume you're supposed to be there.

Hell, I even have an excuse planned if I'm ever stopped when I'm leaving. I'll just tell them my "friend" and I have reservations at a nearby restaurant but she had to deal with an afterhours work emergency/wasn't finished getting ready and I'm just going ahead to make sure we don't lose our table.

Though when they don't leave a short time later, I can see how that might be incriminating. If it happens, I'll just say that something happened, an afterhours work emergency, something came up with the family etc., and we had to cut our visit short.

"I just popped in to say 'hi!'".

Reason: "It had been awhile."

Ideally in a friendly manner, but don't get too chatty with LE.

Though, I agree that it makes sense to think the reason through for a minute. As simple as reasonable, and as honest as possible, without self incriminating (or looking like a total degenerate, lol).
