i did say something and im a voluptous lady, and i feel no threat at all with lil gals, as stated in my ealier post i thik its a vanity and insecurity issue i have neither of these issues so i thik she should just shut up and quit throwing tantrums on the board... theres something called 'freedom of opionion' and we all are allowed to have one... so get a grip and relax siohban,,.. thanks ffrom an independent who is not threatened by a mans opinion of what size matters..
Well put! Some people like 'em thin, some like 'em curvey. There is room for everyone in this world. Paladin and I, among others, like 'em thin and shouldn't be accused of hurting women's self-esteem.

"I also know that it is wrong to completely disregard the feelings of others, and it is wrong to disregard issues that have negative effects upon people; in this instance, women."

The Natural claims that all male participants on this board are pussy-whipped groupies of the SPs and other women on this board. You constitute evidence that he may well be correct in certain instances.

P.S. I haven't forgotten that you called me a jackass.

Heather!

"Sheesh I can't believe the hostility of this thread."

What hostility? Just because Paladin posts that he likes women well beyond generally attainable standards is not evidence of hostility toward women.

Men cannot help what they like! For example, gays can't help liking other men. I don't know of any women that can meet this "standard"! Would you therefore define gays to be automatically hostile to women?

Lucky men have a preference for standard or average body types; lucky because these types are commonly found which means that these guys have plenty of selection. But the men who prefer women beyond generally attainable standards can't help it and are actually cursed because they rarely find their preference!

I have held back replying but I can stand it NO LONGER. Everyone is unique in their own way and all have qualities desired. What is the big deal about body size. You know,I have been called skinny(I hate that word) .I don't call large people fat so why should I be called skinny or anorexic.I'm not,I've happened to be this way since I was 12 years old. It's called hereditary.
Why don't people just grow up!

Ironic sometimes how overweight people who are victims of cruel jokes are also ones who make the same cruel jokes towards skinny folks. I remember Rosie making some jokes about Calista Flockhart way back. Sounds like jealousy to me. Just like when some people I know would make playful comments to me and the girl I was dating at the time. Yeah, she was slim (5' 4" 105 lbs). But insensitive comments like "Oh my god Don! Your girlfriend looks like she could use a hot meal!" or "I wonder how much she starves herself to stay slim" are just as insensitive as fat jokes.
It is jealousy. You see more people working to be slim than trying to gain weight. The thing that is harder to do is always what people want and are jealous of.

Ok I am breaking my own rule here but...

Cheyanne...
Next time someone says it do me a favor... Let me have a piece of them ;) I am sitting here thinking back too that one afternoon where were were at Carla's and all I know is that I did not notice when I met you but yes I heard someone else say something...

It is strange that the ones who say it are actually not always the larger people who make the skinny comments... I wouldn't dare as most of my family is competing with twiggy and make Cheyanne look big... Not that you are in any way hun I am just trying to make a point.

One of the most beautiful women I know might have a perfect body... But she is not what a lot of people would call perfect as she is a single mother but if you did not know then you would... But to me she is one of the most perfect women I know. Do you know what makes her beautiful? When she smiles and the sparks in her eyes light up... No one can touch her... When she plays with her children... No one is as beautiful as her. And the most interesting part of all is that after 3 children she is still a size 3... This means she has a 23 waist... I love her with all my heart... As she is my best friend... Most of you would see her as an object... See only her physical beauty... When in truth all people are so much more then that.

****************************************************

If all you want is something to look at then buy a poster... Hang it on your wall and take care of things on your own! If instead you want warmth and companionship... You want to see the spark pass through a persons eyes in the heat of the moment... Then hobby however you see fit. If you want a trophy that is your choice... But you choose who YOUR trophy is... Stop trying to choose the one for others.

Do not inforce your likes and dislikes upon others... If you don't agree you are entitled to that... But don't slam someone elses choices or preferances because they are not your own. The reason we love this country is the fact that for the most part we have the right to choose... Let people choose on their own instead of making qualifications or standards for eveyone else because of your preferances.

You take your vision of perfection and hold onto that... And I will take mine and hold on just as tightly...

My vision of perfection is... To wake up one day and have people accept that we are different and that is what makes us special... Our differances are what diversify us and make this country what it is... Welcome to Canada... The land of free choice... Or it is supposed to be!

Happy Canada Day...

P.S. Would it kill you to open your eyes and learn to find at least one thing beautiful about every person you meet? No I think not... Will you do it? That is up to you.

Well said!!! It is amazing how some posts can be so ignorant! Yikes! Ridiculous statements as "foxhound" has displayed really do ruin it for the rest of us GENTS! Hope the ladies can ignore such displays of ignorance and total immaturity.
Ah but ignorance is bliss.

Unfortunatly in the reality of our society we enfore our will upon others. As a society we constanly attempt to quanify and qualify attractiveness for men and women. Thogh our perceptions are generally vastly different. That is what makes us human.

Differences should be respected... Not singeled out and condemned.

As far as maturity... It is hoped and believe to come with time and experiance... What a hope that is.
