I purchased an Ipod Nano almost 2 years ago, this past weekend the battery died. I was wondering if it is worth trying to get the battery replaced, or just buy another Ipod. Also, if i buy another Ipod will my existing song list still be on Itunes? Thanks in advance for any info.

I'd suggest you take it to an Apple store just to see what they say..you might end up with a discounted new one if they like you.

As for the songs, the songs on iPod depend on whatever is synced to it from iTunes so all your songs will be in iTunes afaik. It would just be a matter of connecting your new Nano to your computer and hitting the sync button.

I had a new battery put in for 30-40 bucks (not @ the apple store) ......your music should be on the computer
Even cheaper you can buy the battery and install it yourself, there are many videos on the net that shouws you how to change the battery....

Thanks for the info. Twister, where did you go to get the battery replaced? I don't feel like giving Apple any more money than necessary.

You're an idiot if you use iTunes to pay for your music or album cover pics. There are ways to get both on your ipod/iphone for FREE.
