4.When CV3 was drafted, I have to admit I was baffled like most. But having watched him play, I 'm not as upset as I was on draft night. He may be labelled a PF, but I see him more as a 'tweener'. He can play different positions and cause match-up problems. He does hang around the 3 pt arc alot (like Donyell did) , but he also has some inside finesse moves that I think he'll use more often once he gets more acclimated to the NBA game. I also think the rebounds will come. If he turns out to be a higher scoring version of Donyell, I think alot of people will be satisfied w/ that.
I think that CV will be a great pro, he has amazing tools to work with..... .the jury is out on whether he has the intelligence and heart..... I liked CV as a college player, I just did not think that he is what they needed for the Raptors right now...

I guess that I have not been looking at the CV draft on a long term basis...

No I am not looking for a playoff caliber team, what I am looking for in a team is one that is better coached and plays with a bit more heart... I don't care if they win or not..

jose....cant shoot for shit, only drive and once teams have him figured pff

6 games. 6 games. There are lots of players that have become better shooters in the game with time. Give this guy a chance. There are a lot of players that were 'figured' out and they still are good players because they adjusted.

alvin.....wow just hopeing he can get back to normal! he's amazing

ok. I like Alvin. He has alot of heart and I would like to see him come back. But come on. He will likely never be himself. Even when he was he was not that amazing. Not the greatest shooter, defensively yes good. Jose looks to be a better pure point guard but we will see with time. But ya I like Alvin's heart and he is one of the good guys in the NBA.

charlie V...i like wat i see, he's a sik/exciting player but doesnt seem interested to post or play D

Again 6 games. Give this guy some time to work on his post game and defense.
No team missed or made the playoffs or won a championship in 6 games.

graham...he needs to work on his confidence and start driving to the net

I agree. His confidence may be a bit shaken and driving to the basket is something that he can do. But I think he needs to pick it up on the defensive end first which is the first reason the Raptors liked him. He has to pick up his energy.

I know some have said send guys down to D-league but you also have to consider if they will get a fair amount of playing time and what the quality of coaching is down there. What are the practice sessions like? Europe may be a better option but I don't know how their current NBA contract limits their abiltiy to go to Europe. I assume a contract would have to run out first but I could be wrong.

Up Here,ON
Jalen Rose is another example of a guy making big coin, then mailing it in. He should be the leader of this team, carrying them on his back. He has talent, and sure he sounds great on TV but he is killing the team. Guys making 15 mill should be leaders....where is he? How can Bosh lead when he's so young and he sees Jalen floating? I see Bosh trying hard, Charlie is looking good, Calderone has promise and Graham will take some time but is showing signs of being a solid pro, but these guys should be looking to Jalen to carry the ball. He is letting them all down. Mo Pete? MIA.

Why does everyone talk about cap space....who cares about cap space...no good free agent wants to come here
...2007 there's cap space to sign who...Jamal when he's over the hill

Babcock sucks donkey dicks

...the only thing worst then Babcock sucking donkey dicks is Mitchell's inability to teach his players how to play defense...we are the worst in the league

Bosh made C-Webb(with bum knee and all) look like he was 25 again...you suck Bosh when it comes to defense...big deal he got 19 pts and 17 rebounds...but he allowed C-Webb to get 28 pts and 16 rebounds(with a bum knee)

some dude keeps on saying it's only 6 games...now it's only 7 games...they haven't improve from game to game...and this is the easy part of their schedule....well it's only 82 games...there'll next year

I would be optimistic if there was improvement from game to game

When will the Raps win 3 games...by Febuary?

I figure when Charlie Villanueva grows pubes...they'll win 3 games

ya, I am the guy that stated it is only 6 games.

Yes I agree it is time for a win. But is improving necessarily defined by a win. If the other team has an off night and the Raptors win then it does not necessarily mean improvement per se. Perhaps the other teams have improved since the beginning of the season as well.

Every team goes through slumps. A young team like the Raptors more often. Their biggest problem right now is the first quarter whereas the last couple of season it was the third quarter.

But yes a couple of wins is needed ASAP.

Defensively they have to do a better job individually and not always think they can rely on their teammates to bale them out. Mitchell can't be out there. Yes, Bosh has to step up his defense if he truly can be considered a top notch NBA player. I too was frustrated how Webber seemed to easily have his way against Bosh.

I agree Jalen needs to take more of a leadership role but after being in the league as long as he has I can't see him changing much and doing that.

What made this team a contender several years back were mainly two players. The most being Oakley and the second being Kevin Willis. Without Oakley, Carter would not have become 'Mr. Franchise'. Someone was pushing him and making him accountable (as Kidd is doing in Jersey now). Once Oakley left Carter changed. Unfortunately there are not many of those old school guys like Oakley (and Barkley) around and with salary cap issues it would be diffcult to get someone like that anyways.

Uhm, did you watch the game? Mitchell put Aaron Williams on Webber and he went off in the 1st quarter. Well, in yesterdays game Mitchell put Bosh on Webber and they were about even.

Mike James played AI even, but the Raptors had no answer for AI II.

No, in the first game Bosh was playing power forward and guarding C-Webb who was playing power forward

last night Bosh was playing centre and guarding Steven Hunter who is also a centre while Matt Bonner was guarding C-Webb

Bosh admitted himself in the papers that his defense against webber was atrocious
