I actually think that Hoffa should shoot more. He can nail the 17 footer and is really getting better with not fouling so much. I just don't get why he isn't getting the minutes.
cuz he is not listening to the coaches, what he needs to do is take up space, set picks, get defensive rebound, give hard fouls

He isn't getting the minutes because Mitchell needs a scapegoat for how crappy the team is doing and because he is not doing what Mitchell is asking.
Unfortunately, according to Mitchell, none of his other players are doing what he is asking either. Arrujo can't possibly do worse than some of the others who are playing.

I can't understand the Raptors plan. They need a defensive presence in the low post.. Loren Woods is not the answer... so give someone else a chance. They did alright with Aron Williams in last night, but he picked up too many cheap fouls early in the game... Bonner played well....

Hoffa needs to stop shooting and use his Big frame to position himself better so he can gobble up more rebounds ( he is such a big solid guy with a mean streak) Use that damn size and grab some rebounds. .

I really can't understand why Hoffa's not effective.......I think you're right, though, and Mitchell should put him in the game whereby on defense he should just block out his man once the shot goes up and simply get a hand up and avoid fouls....on offense he should be soley looking for rebounds; not coming up to the top of the key to pass off, not even to set a pick...

...but I'm sure that's been Mitchell's philosophy all along; to keep it simple and concentrate on only a couple of aspects...

I just don't get, except that some players are just great rebounders and can sense where the ball is going to be so as to position themselves properly all the time.

I'd like to see Hoffa, Bosh, and Villanueva on one line just to see how many boards they can gather and let Bosh and Villanueva cause havoc on "D" with blocked shots, leaving Hoffa to just block out and defend with a hand up.
