Prices for commodities are set by market conditions in the economy. The laws of supply and demand rule in a democracy. True. I'm not saying SOME providers aren't worth 200+.... but lets get real for a minute. Probably more then half of the SP's provide less then advertised.... which is why we have this board.
It's troubling to see people "rationalize" increases based on the fact that other cities have some higher priced SP's. When new SP's come in looking for 180+ suddenly what's a quality established woman worth?? 200?? 250?? It just seems that in the last 2 yrs the average went from 120-140 to almost 200.... and this doesn't include a tip!
I fully understand it's supply and demand. But hopefully some ladies realize that you can't establish long term customers if you don't get them in the door first.
I have noticed lately that the rates in the Ham/Burl area are coming down a bit, especially with the newer Ladies. 100/120 per half and 160/180 hr. down from the 200/220 hr range.
