Receiving DM's on Twitter (X) from "New" Escorts? Anyone Else?

I am pretty low key on Twitter I do not post a lot.

A number of the escorts I have seen over the years follow me back but I do not have a lot of followers.

When I get a new follower I check them out, if they are a BOT (new account following like 1.2 million with 153 followers and no posts) I just ignore it.

If they look legitimate and I am not already following I will follow back.

Shortly after that I get a DM something like "Hi how are you" nothing special.

I am polite thanks for the follow back how are you whatever seems appropriate.

Pretty quickly I get "ready to book an appointment with me?"

Generally my answer is sure let's talk about it so we can see if we are a good fit.

This is where it gets interesting, they are definitely looking for a day time and deposit very quickly.

Now I have said before I am FINE sending a deposit when I know who it is, etc., but in this case they contacted ME.

When they get kind of pushy about it I just ignore them and a couple days later the account is deleted.

They are keep the deposit fake scammers. I get them also. And the similar Onlyfans only ladies.

They are all over Twitter and do indeed use the following of a real escort as their parasitic method of entry into your life.

Someone should do a count. Between Terb advertisers (including agencies) and Terb reviews, there must be 200 ladies a day to choose from.

It is unfortunate that a mechanism that reviewed escorts use for the marketing advantage of constant contact results in a warm water ecosystem for parasites.

@Lv Wmn : Check the wording of these DMs. Are more than one of them exactly the same? Do they give generic, nonspecific responses to your questions? I'm guessing that you may be having conversations with chatbots.

A lot of escorts have moved to Bluesky, which apparently is less hostile to them than Elon is.

Not sure if the scammers and bots have moved there, too. But perhaps not. It seems less profit oriented, so they can’t pick up the economies of scale.
