Can anyone recommend a restaurant that offers a fully cooked whole small pig for take-out?

Years ago I remember going to a party where the host had purchased such a thing and it was absolutely incredible!

TIA

Filipinos have a specialty dish called lechon. It's basically whole-roasted pig. Unfortunately, I don't have any names or phone numbers of restaurants handy but there Filipino restaurants and caterers in Scarborough and Mississauga that could help you out. You might also want to check the places in the Bathurst/Wilson area.

Not sure about pricing though, sorry.

There's a Portuguese place on Bloor, on the NE corner, one block west of Ossington. They do take out. I think they will do a pig for special order.

What your looking for is a place called Bairadda (SP?) They have two locations one college near Rusholme north side. Call ahead for this weekend. By the way they are usually younger smaller piglets. Not the big hog. They also have a place off of hurontario north of dundas a couple of blocks in behind the lcbo and beer store

PS you should give it a whirl and do it yourself. You can rent out the giant rotisserie and 5 or 6 big bags of charcoal, one big bag of weed, 6-7 hours, falling asleep and letting that son a of bitch burn beyond repair...

Ah, a Luau @ Ref's

Many Chinese BBQ places in various Chinatown do the Roast baby pork like the Chinese banquet dish. Has to be specially order. Can be pricey. Well worth it if you have more than 12+ people depending on size of pig. Small=>cruchy skin=more $.
Make sure you get lots of the Ho-Shin sauce to go with the pork.

And then there are the ribfest that are coming up in different part of GTA.

Too bad we don't have any Hawaiian restaurants in T.O. yet.

If you are going to call and order one it is called Leitoa(pronouced lay-ton).

There is a place on College with a Pig and Chicken on the side of the building, the make them if you order ahead. You can also dine there where they roast one in the back patio.
