Buy a wap54g acess point off ebay for $15-$20 if you already have a wired router, then just use thrid party firmware to boost the TX power and you'll have a nice WiFi box in your house with better performance then a WRT54GS with speed booster. There are some Belkin routers out on eBay that provide the best performance then any linksys or D-Link that you can get at futureshop or best buy. Some Belkins are capable of having their TX power set up to a high of 358mW in G mode compared to a WRT54GS with a max of 64mW in G mode. Do some research on eBay and get your box there.
