I opened up a Linkein account to get in touch with the former staff of Bodies by Design. I only used the platform twice to reconnect, not into social networking. Then I started getting all sorts of connect requests which I never bothered with. My professional life has ended, I'm only interested in preserving my health.

I think this is the case for women with money (nice jobs over 100k) or have the house paid up and some left over money from dead parents/insurance and "side job".

I like this thread! I was still closeted when I first joined GaysTryst dating site. At first, I was terrified, but the people I connected with were incredibly understanding and supportive. I got to ask questions, share fears, and talk openly without judgment. That led to meeting someone who encouraged me gently and stood by me as I came out to my family. I’m now out and proud.
