Returning to Ottawa - Questions

Hi all,

Not sure where to post this since there doesn't seem to be a general Ottawa board...

So, I'll be moving back to Ottawa shortly after 5+ years in Montreal. In poking around briefly, Ottawa seems to have way fewer SP options than I recall from the pre-2015 era—quite underwhelming to say the least. Is there a go-to agency, especially one with higher-end girls? Mirage used to have an Ottawa section, no? All gone. While OIC has maybe 1 or 2 options of minor interest.

For those familiar with the Montreal landscape, is there anything like Euphoria or Vogue?

There is a definite void/niche that needs filling in Ottawa, in those regards. The indies of OIC are fine, to me, but an agency would fit some needs well, too.

On the whole, I'm thrilled to be returning to Ottawa. But yeah, quite the apparent void in terms of quality SPs... Hopefully the situation improves post-COVID.

Welcome back, the good thing is Montreal is only 1:30hr drive you can still have the best of both cities.

I live in the suburbs of Montreal but hobby in Ottawa sometimes for the variety. There are some well reviewed LL cuties worth seeing.
To answer the OP's question:
EUPHORIA, VOG , XXXTASE and XO are all great agencies but, alas, I do not think they have any Ottawa counterparts as far as I can tell.
Just enjoy some of the Indy cuties here.

That's just not true.

You can have fun with many independent ladies in Ottawa. Not sure how agencies could bring fun back to Ottawa that any independent can't provide.
I'd like to be enlightened on this if you can share your viewpoints.
I would think that when you book with an agency you're under time constraints, whereas if you're with an indy they would be more lenient with clock watching. That's just my observation, I could be wrong. But I am curious to know why some gents think the fun in Ottawa is gone bc agencies are not present. Indy's do the same thing agencies do, the only difference is the agencies handle the convos in pre booking and marketing aspects of the transaction, whereas the indys handle everything from pre booking, marketing, booking, providing an incall location as well as some also doing outcalls.
This is an interesting topic and i'd like to hear what others have to say about this.

For my part, I still have fun but the Ottawa scene is not what it used to be. I guess the biggest problem for me is pricing and variety. Variety especially. I don't mind paying 300$/h and tip on top for quality service but I also have to reduce frequency because of that. Agencies tend to be less expensive than indies and they have a lot of variety so they solve both problems. Don't get me wrong, there are many wonderful indies and I enjoyed my time with some of them like Nikki Luxx ( oh my!) and they are worth their rates but I also enjoyed my time with many agency girls at a lower cost. I am not judging indies rates, business is business I am just giving my 2 cents because that is what its worth

Some people will call me a cheap ass but like many, I want to squeeze as much fun as I can out of each $ I pay and agencies tend to fulfill this more than indies. Im still gonna see indies tho. Like I said, I like variety

Agency brings variety, lower costs and stability.

All are very important.

Variety: a larger roster, rotating tours, and new faces who want to try SW without the hassle of marketing. Agencies are good for that.

Like YF above mentioned, the cost is lower. Even if slightly, by just a few dollars, it makes a difference in our decision making. Think how good it feels to spend 2.99 vs. 3.05 at the supermarket.

Stability: a familiar phonegirl or guy, a schedule that’s adhered to, a usual incall location all goes a long way vs. sporadic responses, sometimes incoherent messages and of course unprofessional ghosting. We guys sometimes have to make big adjustments to our day to make the time to see the ladies only to have them disappear last minute.

Believe it or not we are not all simps, made of money and sit around all day hoping to meet a lady.

The main benefit of seeing an Indy is that you know (if they truly are 100% Indy) that the fee you pay goes to them and their business. For me, it makes me feel like the transactional part of the relationship is based on two adults entering into an agreement and there is no third party involved to distort that understanding.

However, the benefits to agencies have been well outlined with variety, reliability (eg no ghosting), and lower prices being the main three. For me, the variety is less important as I am at my stage of hobbying where seeing a regular is more my thing these days. You could manage the consistency thing with Indys by sticking with well established providers rather than relying on LL. However, like many, I have a budget and the difference between agencies and Indys is enough to tip the scale. It is not minimal. 1hr with an agency lady might be $240 - $280 and with an Indy your looking closer to $400+ and the overall service is very similar. So, if someone wants to spend $1000 0er month on the hobby, they could see 4 agency ladies or 2 Independent ladies. It adds up and affects where some choose to spend their money.

You're assuming that an agency setting up shop here now would reflect the $240 hour price range, but I think it would probably be in the $300 range. Still cheaper than the $350 or $400 an hour independents, but reflecting the generally higher pricing today in Ottawa. It was already trending up before the pandemic, but everything now seems to be more expensive than it was a year ago.

I've always been a fan of independents anyway (like Alma *waves*).

I worked for a couple agencies in the past and I always felt like I wasn't getting paid enough. 60 to the agency, 25 to the driver, tipping the receptionist and after all was said and done I had not much $ left.
One agency I worked for encouraged us to ask for tips. And we would, but I never felt right charging extra for extras when the guy already paid the fee the agency quoted over phone.
Needless to say she shut down her business after some time as she wasn't getting very good reviews.
That was not in Ottawa that was somewhere else.

I went to Montreal in November and worked for an agency because I wanted to see what business was like there. I didn't like how much I got at the end of the call when I had to fork over x amount of dollars to the driver to cover his fee and the agency fee, it put me in a bad mood all the while the driver is taking me to my next call. I did a few calls with the agency and said nope not doing things this way and went back to working as an indy. I understand where you guys are coming from I really do, but I will never work for an agency ever again.
