Now about half of the cast members are dead. I say it's time they make an updated Gilligan's Island with Ashton Kutcher as Gilligan.

RIP Gilligan.

Half? Most are gone. Russel Johnson died first. Then Jim Bacchus. Then shortly after Alan Hale. Now Bob Denver. That just leaves Tina Louise and Dawn Wells. I wonder if they will make a public appearance. Would be interesting to see how well they held up.

I remember Denver as "Maynard G. Krebs" in "The Loves of Dobie Gillis."

Memorable character.

Mary Anne has come a long way hasn't she?

She started an acting camp with money she inherited from Natalie Shaeffer (Lovey Howell) who I forgot to mention. Natalie died in 1991 from Liver Cancer at the age of 90 -- older than her TV husband.

I remember reading in Variety that Dawn Wells lived with Scaeffer for a few years. I guess that's why she got some of the inheritance. She also left 3 million to her dog. It was contested by her family who lost. All this interesting info came out when they demolished her 1940s Rodeo Drive house a few years after she died.

Wha?? Russell Johnson is still alive.

It's just he and the ladies who are still around, sauf Natalie Schafer.

I miss the show. But not enough to buy it on DVD. Now The Wonder Years and WKRP are different stories.
