Most hotel doors unlock with the key card, including the manual dead bolt, the only one that will save your ass temporarily is the flip lock, best advice to just to stay away from the crack heads

Standard coded magnetic keys are not supposed to open a dead bolted door. Only master keys typically do this because they can be set with dead bolt override.
