I should hope you never put yourself in a position to have criminal charges laid against you. Or to never be falsely accused.

But, yes, I think the justice system worked. I have no reason not to. Now if a video tape emerged of Blake running up and shooting his wife and the justice system still couldn't convict him, then that I would have a problem with. But I trust the jury a hell of a lot more than I trust your "gut feelings" - whatever that means.

If you're one of those people who thinks the world is out to get him and all gov't and justice systems are corrupt, just say so and I'll ignore you from now on; I've got better things to do with my time.

It's easy to criticize and tear things down. Even easier when you don't have the responsibility to create a solution. A justice system that works 95% of the time is better than no justice system that "works" 100% of the time. If you think the justice system is broken, fine. How do you propose it be fixed? And by a proposal, I mean a realistic one that is not pie-in-the-sky bs.

I understand the prosecution wanted to subpoena the parakeet that Blake used to have from the show Baretta. Apparantely the parakeet saw what happened the night of the shooting but the parakeet ain't talking!

I don't think this is a case of who's right or wrong you believe Blake was innocent because you state you have no reason not to , this seems like a poor reason to believe something . No I am not one of those people who think the world is out to get them but I am a person that questions things. I don't know how you can say the justice system works 95 % of the time maybe you have figures no one else does concerning whether the jury was right or wrong. Is your point that the justice sytem is not flawed ?
I am not going to try and " fix " it on Terb but if you think it's fine please ignore me. I an tired of carrying on terb conversations with people whose only point seems to be that everything is fine and can't be improved.

But it's a GREAT reason not to convict someone . I believe it's a novel concept you may wish to embrace . It's called innocent until proven guilty....perhaps you have heard of it?

Beats , IMHO , your concept of justice which as far as I can tell is best exemplified by your statement " .....quite often your gut feeling is correct". Sorry that just doesn't cut it for me .

I agree with you ( amazing isn't it ) that no one should be convicted if there is a reasonable doubt. Since I did not hear the evidence I can't decide if the decision was right or wrong YOU however have decided it was right.
You knoe sometimes it is pointless trying to discuss issues with people like you whose argument is to take what I said about gut feelings and twist it into meaning decisions should be based on feelings. In fact I have twice said you must have the evidence But you keep ignoring that.
If you knew anything about police work you would know that a lot of cases are solved with a hunch or gut feeling then backed up by evidence.

If you said twice somewhere else that you need to have the evidence I did not see it so I apologize for that .

From what I did read I was getting the impression that it was You who wished to convict based on gut feeling and I was objecting to that. Even in this message you are sending mixed signals with your last comment. Perhaps you could be clearer next time :D

BTW , I assume you are a cop ?

Whew well I am glad we got that cleared up . Actually if I were on a jury I would want pretty hard evidence to convict someone and put them away for hard time. I mean hard evidence , there was a case in the U.S. where someone robbed 5 banks and 5 tellers who were inches away ID'D a man they said was the robber. Turns out he was innocent ,had a look a like but was days away from being locked up for a long time .
No I am not a cop now sell me my drugs
