John Cena has followed Rocco's formula. When they worked together in the WWE, it was always a guaranteed money maker...something the wrestling company no longer has.
Disney muffed it when they let go of James Gunn from The Guardian of the Galaxy franchise....correction he's seeing out his contractual obligation with GofG3. He wrote and directed The Suicide Squad, then created the critically acclaimed Peacemaker. Since they are now both DC icons, why not.

I watched two episodes of Reacher and lost interest. In terms of easy charm and charisma, The Rock and John Cena sweep the floor with Alan Ritchson.
Vin Diesel has a massive ego, he wanted The Rock to return to the Fast franchise. He screwed it up by making it about himself instead, then he pissed Rocco off by insinuating that he was the uncle of Rock's kids. Anyone that knows anything about The Rock, knows who The Real Uncle is.
