Meatloaf is executive producing a TV show, and I'm not making this up, called "I'd do anything for love, but not that..."
I'm currently assembling my top (favorite) 99 classic rock playlist (60's and 70's). I've excluded the likes of the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Chicago, Fleetwood Mac that have such an extensive discog because I have a max. limit of 3 songs per artist. I originally tried to do a top 50, then 75 but that was too damn hard. And that is ignoring all of the songs that I would consider 'Yacht" rock for which I have a 75 song strong separate playlist (ex. Little River Band, Firefall, Christopher Cross).
Where I'm having a difficult time is to reduce The Cars to 3 songs I currently have Just What I Needed, My Best Friend's Girl, Good Times Roll and Let's Go. Which one gets knocked out?
Also having a really hard time getting Steely Dan to 3, I might have to exclude them altogether like I've done with Zeppelin and the Beatles. I love them too much to pick just 3.
Steve Miller Band was tough but I got them to 3. I had to exclude The Joker, believe it or not. This is my #1 Steve Miller song I LOVE that intro!!
Steely Dan has always been a favourite of mine. Too bad Becker died. I always considered them a combo of rock and jazz. Fagen did an album which I bought. Fav song is. "How about A Kiss For Your Cousin Dupree"
That's where I was leaning. Done!eddie money by a country mile
Na that one doesn't do it for me. I can't knock off Good Times Roll, leaning towards Just What I Needed.Dougie, about the Cars.....knock off Just what i needed and Good times roll and add in this....................a guilty pleasure of mine
Really old school. I think his biggest hit was Behind Closed Doors.
