Well elimnation tonight,Storm is gone,I would have thought Dilana would have been cut,but oh well,next week Lucas will be crowned the Lead singer of SuperNova,then it is 2 for 2 for us Canadians winning RockStar.......What do you guys think now thats its the last week.................
tommy talented..i will give you that... he is very good at what he does... still he is going down hill... too bad..... it is a sad day in the world of rock.... i predict the band supernova is going to have a week showing in the history books.. time will tell my friend... i hope i am wrong... because most of the music out there is low quality and most bands can't fill a cd with more than one or two listenable songs... it has been a long time since i have listened to a cd and loved all the songs..when that happens then you know you have found a true band......Spiker said:

Chick singers don't sell... they want a guy all the chicks will fall in love with...and BUY CD's.... its Toby or Lucas... I always thought they liked Lucas the most .... but that Toby original rocked ...I must say.
Dilana is becoming too much of a drama queen and Im sick of her. Calf muscle..ooooo owwwww. whatever. She is way over her head compared to the others. Gilby is bang on with her obvious lyrics. No imagination and no talent. I hate her voice actually. Sad to see Storm go as she was hot and good but she was gone soon anyway.
That aside Im really not sure what type of sound Supernova is going for overall. It seems to be all over the place at this point. Not a stretch but Im guessing Lukas is the man. Looks the part and his stage presence is great. Gilby gave the best compliment EVER when he said that Lukas "inspires him when he watches him perform" I mean what more do you want. Toby is a great artist and performer but not what Im thinking SN is looking for

you don't like him... but a lot of little girlie's do... I was rooting for him till I saw Toby's original... well... I guess I'd rather see a Canadian win over an aussie.
I have to disagree with you on this point about Lukas.
I don't think he has the 'face' to get the girls panties all moist.
I am not that fond of him, but have to admit that out of all the players in this game, he has long been the ONLY one of them that could suit SN.
Not Magni.

Dilana never had a chance because they never ever intended to have a female front their band. Now we've all seen that she CANNOT write lyrics.

Firstly I will open by saying that I have credentials over and above to back up my theory and following statement.......I cant be bothered going into details about my credentials other than to say that dealing with relevant media regarding the music business is what I have made a good living from for many many years.
Everybody has a belief about who will be the winner on this show and that's fine but lets examine a few details that will leave no questions as to who the 2 finalists will be at this stage.
Music is about money pure and simple those who control the supply and demand of recorded music only have one thing in mind at all times..... CASH.....they do not care for art of artistic creativity.
Now lets look at our contestants with this in mind.
Magni: Has a good voice and could front many bands out there and do a good job, the down side is that Magni is not mass marketable his appearance is neither here nor there he lacks certain things that record companies are looking for....this does not mean by any means that he is not good he just just does not have the spark and image these companies look for.
Dilana: Yep she has a great voice if that's what your into, and she can perform very well However she in not mass marketable she is only marketable to a small audience, her main support base is the feminist sector and this is a a vocal minority Not a majority.
Lukas: In my opinion he is the worst singer of the remaining contestants how ever lukas is marketable to 2 large market places the first being the under 18 year old market place which in the music business is a very powerful market because the under 18 market has more disposable income than any other market place secondly Lukas is marketable to the 30-45 year old market place because of his image some people of this age group relate to lukas because he reminds them and makes them nostalgic for the 80's so some seem to like him.
Toby: Possibly not as strong vocally as Dilana but he is by far the most marketable of the remaining 4 contestants not only is he marketable he has 2 massive markets that are the majority in music marketing speak leaning heavily in his favor, Toby has a large mass appeal to men between the age of 16-35 and he has the female market between the same age group predominantly in his corner.
This means that of the 4 contestants 2 control or appeal the largest audiences, those contestants are Lukas and Toby.
You then look at the media coverage that Supernova will get and which contestant will help them the most, what people should be aware of is that Supernova and there respected record company will be looking for front covers of magazines, T.V spots ect ect to help them sell the tour and the album.
You may think that it wont matter the record company will buy enough advertising space or time for Supernova that they will automatically get the coverage required, well that is correct and it's wrong because regardless of money spent it only qualifies you to be considered for front covers of magazines and T.V spots the final decision is with the editors of the magazines and the TV programs and that make there decision on 1.what serves there image and integrity best. 2. what will get them the most pick up, ratings or sales.....that then intern those companies can go to other advertisers and sell advertising on the TV program or in there Magazine based upon which demographic it will appeal to if Supernova is the main feature.
In my opinion if Supernova is looking for mass market appeal then there only clear choice is Toby, How ever if Supernova is going to try at marketing themselves to the teenage market due to the large disposable income factor then Lukas is the clear choice.
Regardless your 2 finalists will be Lukas and Toby.
If you think my theory wrong then have a harder look at the 4 remaining contestants and the demographic that they generally appeal too.

Ya know in the beginning I really wasnt groovin Lukas,however now I cant seem to get enough of this guy .....his personal lyrics rocked bigtime ..hes got the same rebellious edge as JD (they hated him then loved him )

Delani has that natural raspy voice but something about her aura im not buying ..i think the guys just wanna bang her not have her as the lead
Toby is ok but he doesnt have Lukas edge so thats his downfall .....hes good but just doesnt stand out for guys like SuperNova

I agree. But Dilana should have gone after the broken glass incident. She sucked tonight. I think she would fit in with the New Orleans crowd, and VooDoo dolls. I'm not sure who she is trying to impress. Last week she couldn't walk from hurting her right leg, yet she could kick, and tonight she kicked high enough to see her stained white panties. Lukas, very cool dude, didnt like his mellow version of "Head Spin" thought last night. Hes the man still as far as Im concerned. It appears SN likes what he brings the most and from what i feel they want, he's the man!
Toby, cool dude as well, more my type of music and singer. But too glam for SN as far as Im concerned. He's more poppy than rocker although he tries, it doesnt come across as sincere.

Delana, well what can I say. I cant stand her. She is so fake and her talents are obviously well below the other three IMHO. Shes annoying although I liked the way she did Roxanne last night, I still want her gone.
Lukas, very cool dude, didnt like his mellow version of "Head Spin" thought last night. Hes the man still as far as Im concerned. It appears SN likes what he brings the most and from what i feel they want, he's the man!
