.... and if you have multiple tv's, you need two boxes, right?
If you want you can simply unplug it and move it is wi-fi. Or buy another for $140 plus it has access to the web on your tv as well. If you do not get it jailbroken then the content you get is much less, i get them jaibroken for $180

I did that, but none of the channels seemed to work for me. I'm convinced I bought a dodgy apple tv.

As for what I do.... I have a nice big screen TV that connects to my Xbox.
Everything I download on my laptop streams wireless to the Xbox via a program called Vuze.

I also have one of these MOHU LEAF .. (got mine on ebay) It's an indoor HD satellite that gets FREE channels through the air, mostly from the CN Tower or across the lake.
I get... ABC, Global, City TV, CBC, OMNI, TVO, and about 6 other random channels. Paid $40 for mine and the picture on those HD channels are nicer then anything I ever got through my Rogers Cable box.
Mostly good if you watch the news or just like background TV while you're at home.
How high is your antenna mounted above ground level and where are you located, east of downtown ,west etc just so i get an idea of what to expect.

Rogers is pretty easy to deal with on pricing, although a bit harder than they used to be even 2-3 years ago. I sign up for a year contract on my office phone and internet and they keep the discount in effect, usually around 25% lower than normal prices. $125/month for phone fax internet is pretty reasonable.

The big problem for me dumping rogers is : where to get reliable tv afterwards jail broke devices is iffy. So if u dump rogers for Internet and cell phone they jack up your cable tv Until tecksavy or someone else gets cheaper tv service, rogers has a lock of sorts one at least.

Its an indoor antenna, I have it tucked away behind my TV. It's no bigger then an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of laminated paper.

Im in the East as far as Kennedy and live on the third floor of my condo.

Thats right so why pay twice for what i can get via the net.
I'm with you there. My TV comes free over the air to my antenna. Always has. But it muddies up the discussion when people talk about getting 'free' TV over their paid-for internet service. And if they buy that internet service from Rogers, the irony is truly laughable.

Here's the real cable-TV question: If you want to buy your telephone service from Primus, ComWave or some other provider Bell is legally required to send it to you down their wires. Howcum you cannot choose to buy your cable-TV package from Shaw, or Time-Warner or whoever and have Rogers forced to deliver it?

I ran into a confusing conversation with a couple of Rogers reps. They both said that it is impossible to effect PAC (pre-authorized chequing) by telephone or online. Instead, they said I had to print a form from their website, complete and sign it and then mail it in. Yet, when I went to "MyRogers" I completed and submitted the form online.

This confused you? It must have been the accent.
