Isn't the precedent already set with Elizabeth II becoming Queen?
That is an example of male preference cognatic succession/mixed-female succession as practiced in the U.K. in practice for four and half centuries and in theory for double that time. Also traditionally in Spain and Portugal.

This Mervyn:

Sorry I misread you're original quote, I thought it was saying Roman Catholic law had a direct effect on English law. Mr. Cameron however is somewhat wrong, the thinking behind the rules are not wrong, in the context of the times they were written they made a lot of sense, but times have changed.

The problem is does P.M. Cameron have the agreement of Benedict XVI that Apostolicae Curae was entirely wrong and will be revoked likewise that Canons 1124 and 1125 will be revoked. I rather doubt it.

He could just say "fuck it, English law has precedent over Roman Catholic laws bitches"

or wait, he should say "Tempus est, ut in exemplo legis Español Roman Catholic bitches Legibus" :)

Queen E only had 1 sister - Margret, who was younger than her. Hence it was ok for her to become Queen.

If Queen E had of had a younger brother - Say George, he would have bumped her out of the job as Queen and become King and she (Queen E) would have become a Duchess.

Such was the case with Queen Victoria - whose eldist child was a girl, however, Victoria's second child was a male and became Edward VII. His sister? I don't even recall her name.

My opinion would be that the crown should go to the eldest child period.

Victoria Princess Royal and Empress Frederick of Germany the mother of Kaiser Wilhelm II (by the way he despised his parents)

One slight problem with this scurrilous and hurtful story is that Captain Hewitt, didn't even meet the late Princess of Wales until after Prince Harry was born!
I've heard James Hewitt was passed out and Diana snuck in his room and rode him hard.
Why do you think the Royal Family refuses do a dna test on Harry?

Read it in the News of the World? From whom did you hear about the refusal? Who has asked him for one?

What is with the world today thinking everything in the past was so wrong.

Too many changes, too fast are happening.

Unprovoked wars, gay marriages, now they want to change how queens and kings are born. WTF, we are only going to be here on earth for a short time, why such a rush to change how things were done for hundreds--thousands of years.

Why are we so sure we are right now and all those past generations were so wrong. Wasn't for them we would not be here right now.
yea...let's bring back slavery and human sacrifice while we're at it!

Well, when names and erroneous accusations are being thrown around like confetti, getting names correct is a start. It helps. By the way, re the photo, Verrrrrr Niiiice!

True, but for all I know there is some guy named James Spencer in Moose Jaw who has three blonde haired daughters, and that isn't who you were posting about.
