A great man in a bad cause.
Without Limbaugh, the right wing media / internet circus may not have developed and the world would be a better place.

While his death is sad, his career did more to damage discourse in American politics. I doubt Fox News would have thrived without Limbaugh laying the groundwork. The right-wing outrage and grievances he pushed have created the tribal, hyper-partisan world we now find ourselves in.
You have to admit it is a tough question.
To be against the death penalty when it is about good people is easy. But if you want to be principled, you also have to be against it, when it is about monsters.
I do not like to speak ill of the dead but he was a despicable human being who helped make the US an uglier place. He will not be missed other than by the deplorables and by that I mean the current incarnation of the GOP.
Unbiased liberal media and political commentators could have done
a better job to neutralize Limbaugh's evil influence.

I expected nothing less than the classless, vindictive shameful and ignorant remarks from our resident left wing circle jerkers. Their contempt for Rush Limbaugh is rooted in jealousy because of how successful he was in eviscerating liberals. He single handedly converted millions from being liberal lemmings to enlightened conservatives. 21 million listeners per week is testament to that. Give me anyone on the left who is remotely that popular or influential. He paved the way for other conservative radio hosts like Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly, Mark Levin and of course the eventual rise of the Fox News Network in 1996.
