That is not what was being presented though. What was being said is that they can just open it randomly at any time and check as in they have key and you would never know if they check. At least that is the context I read it in.

In the cases you are talking about, the person would clearly know.

Not really all they have to do is "Suspect" you. For example someone who deals in large amounts of cash might not be doing anything wrong but is targerted.

Ok. I'm not making myself clear.

The context of the first comment about it was that they can just check. Like they have a copy of your key, can go in a look and close up the box like nothing ever happened and you would never know. This is what I was disputing.

They can check but you know. It is not hidden from you. They have to basically break into your box to find what is inside. That was my point.

All banks have a master key to open deposit boxes. They will open without consent if they are served with a court order. Nothing is sacred when it comes to law enforcement.
