Samuelshon/J.P. Tilford Suits

I'm probably going to need some suits in the fall. I've looked at suits sold by Moores, and the quality isn't there.

I don't make enough to buy Zegna, Canali or Armani, but Brooks Brothers 1818 series, Boss and J.P. Tilford suits are probably in my range.

I'm leaning towards the J.P. Tilford over the Brooks Brothers as they are Canadian made, but have never worn either. Anyone have any experience?

You can't lose with Samualshon or Tilford. i've never been disappointed. i've worn Samuelshon more than any other over 35 years.

The Holt's summer sale should be coming up in June/July. You'd be surprised what you can afford. Canali and Armani for the price of Boss.

Tilford has a nice cut and fits well. I would suggest that as a good choice.

Samuelson is better quality than Boss. Boss is fused and Samuelson is not. Boss has more modern cut though.

It won't satisfy your desire for Canadian made but you might take a look at the top lines at Joseph Bank, they have several stores in the Buffalo area.

Go to a tailor. Look around and you'll find a reasonable one. There is no point to buying a suit off the rack.

In the west end of Toronto there are warehouses at Caledonia Rd. and Orfus Rd. where you kind find brand name suits that look good or even better than armani, canali, tilford, ties, belts, shoes and boss. Very affordable and you won't tell the difference. Everything is made China these days and not in Italy.
