Shes mocking the liberals who seek to destroy capitalist democracy with their union corruption. Down in the States teachers and nurses unions are chased away by her and Republicans. Putting aside the obvious problem about Ms. Palin's eligibility, I don't think the Order of Canada is much of an honour. It mostly strikes me as something the elites use to stroke each other.
Ezra Levant award would be more appropriate. Haha haha haha haha haha haha. Surely there are no corrupt businesses that have treated their non union employees like cr**. Why were unions ever formed in the first place? Is it because of corrupt Liberal governments or these shady businesses that exploited their employees. I am not a union member and I will not join a union, however I will defend the rights of people who contribute to their union and ask for reasonable demands, within the confines of their company's financial means. Why should a CEO have bonuses of 300 or a 1000 % when a company has record profits and the rest of the employees who made it happen get practically nothing in return?
The Order of Canada is more than a bit like the Order of the British Empire there is one heck of a gulf between Companion of the Order of Canada and a member thereof just as there is between being a GBE or KBE and an MBE.

Until that last sentence, you sounded almost reasonable, although as deluded as ever. But truth is entirely absent from Ezra's prejudiced and bigoted rantings and always has been.
And if you think it makes sense to say you can see Russia from your front door in Alaska, I'd like you to consider the building development opportunities on the swampland I'm trying to sell. The only real brainwashing you've ever put into evidence is your own. All the worse for being self-inflicted and so constantly and loudly flaunted.
