I didn't make it...but now that the good ole' CBC is showing topless women watching AC/DC, it might have been worth my while.

My only disappointment is not seeing Chicago there today either, as they're playing Rama tomorrow night anyway.

Toronto needs a break and this is terrific.

The cost was peanuts really.

It's the first good news that has hit this city in a long time.

We've dealt with enough shit lately that would kill a lesser man.

The buzz surrounding this concert has been a refreshing change from all the doom and gloom that has been surrounding us for far too long.

Thanks to Mick, Keith, Charlie, and Ronnie for doing this.

I'm really , really, disappointed in the coverage by MMM, they came across saying they would be showing the concert. How about saying tape delay of a FEW songs by each band, and alot of music videos and VJ's.

I too was expecting a live feed of the show. Like they did for the armed forces.

My question is how did The Guess Who get stuck in mid-bill. They put on the best show next to AC/DC who rocked hard.

It Rocked!!!!

Show was great .... Very well organized. Lines were long but moved really swiftly.

Guess Who were great (and Im hardly a faN).....Burton Cummings has an excellent voice.

RUSH did there usual solid set )mind you it only went 40 min).

Sorry to disappoint you Paul! Believe me, you could have had a recruiting frenzy there.

As for the chick who flashed those silicon wonders during ACDC, I suddenly have a new respect for the song THUNDERSTRUCK.

But just now, they had a shot of some lady in the crowd near the stage who was topless. Nice tits! Must have been 36D or 38D. Very nice, looked all natural, and the rest of her looked pretty good too.
Maybe it was Vanessa. :)

In fact, I sent an e-mail to Dennis Mills to that effect, thanking him for all his hard work and effort; and for coming up with this brilliant idea in the first place.
No spam please, but I too sent an email to thank Dennis Mills for his efforts in putting this together. If you want to, you can reach him here:

TV coverage was poor. I read that the artists themselves limited CBC coverage: $$$ talks... these guys are just scraping by you know. Four songs aired of the almost 20 played by the Stones is a shame.

BTW, what the hell was with the washer/dryer behind Rush during their gig???!?

Petition against MMM

I guess we should all e-mail MMM for the awful TV coverage. A petition maybe to at least let them know that their effor to fool the public didn't work as we all knew that they are showing taped concert as opposed to LIVE.

To Any lawyers on the board... can they show caption "LIVE" when infact it was taped?

Umm, wrong bob, The stones played for FREE.

That right nada.

The only costs were the costs of the show, the overhead, setting up stages, all the crew (huge), the mobilization, etc.

Mick, Charlie, Ronnie and Keith didn't pocket a shilling from that show. They took time out from their tour and headed over to Toronto to play for us.

The dryers

I was wondering the same thing......whats with the coin operated machines?

Rush had the 3 dryers on stage during their last tour (2002, Vapour Trails) near the end of the show they opened up the dryers and tossed t-shirts into the crowd.

Rush was the first concert I went to, it was in 1981 at the Montreal Forum for the album Moving Pictures. I had side reds and I think the ticket price was around $20 (ironically!).

I read that it was a "benefit" concert, and that the stones played for free.
