I'm guessing that Dumana and his wife were charged mainly because of the outcry from the right wing press and the allegations of favouritism against the police. We'll see if those charges get dropped before trial when the crown fully examines the competing versions of the story

In this case a dude confronts 14 year old girls at the least to assault them. And judging from her reaction in the video she was worried. And it turns out rightfully so. And one of the reasons women get assaulted and trafficked is because some men consider them to be weak and easily victimized due to their gender. And that attitude is something that is cultural.
How difficult is it to see that the more misogynistic a culture is, the more likely women will be used and exploited?
I am friends with Eastern Europeans, who yes, will state without reservations that back home is more misogynistic than here. And shit like that happens more often.

The 12 year old girl brandished a knife of her own volition, without provocation, due to being influenced by far right wing media, and in the ensuing scuffle seems to have suffered a concussion, for which this guy has been charged.
We'd have to wait for more information on how that transpired and what if any role the migrant played in this supposed assault.
Meanwhile he has been the target of a massive misinformation campaign by the far right, including by people like Tommy Robinson and Elon Musk.
