Search Engine Position

I am very impressed with the technical talent here and I throw this one out for discussion... Web Position. I am trying to get my page upfront and have recentlty downloaded a program called Web Position. Is it worthwhile?? It works on the premise of submitting your page to create traffic at the search engines thus propelling you forward because of your popularity. I would appreciate input or other ideas or services that promote your page through the search engines. JB

I don't know anything about that program so can't help you there. But two good sites about search engines (including tips on how to get better rankings on them) are www.searchengines.com and www.searchenginewatch.com . Hope they help somewhat.

as well...

just apply your page for submission at the more popular search engines...eventually with traffic and web engine spiders who trace your pages you'll move up the ranks

...also good is to check the meta tags you have and be as specific as you can...it will help to place your site accordingly....

and too many keywords for some search engines is a no no...i think to keep it at around 5 max is best...(that being the same word spelled exactly the same)...
