for those of you running xp norton 2003 and earlier is incompatable with this new service pack an upgrade to 2004 is vital in keeping your system protected. if you are running a machine that did not orginally come with xp is highly recommended that you check that that model's drivers are sp2 compatible.

for those of you who dont like paying for software

a pretty decent antivirus free of charge

if you feel your machine may be infected with a virus currently and you are still able to access the internet

Here
I just upgraded with that new service pack and now my computers run incredibly slow! What changed or how can I "fix" my processing speed?

Also, now I have an imbedded pop-up that I cant seem to eliminate. Farking Microsoft.
